How would you like to be able to get access to your entire music collection all around your home? Sounds expensive? It doesn’t have to be.

As we discussed in the section about streaming music and how it works, we spoke about the fact that "streaming music players" work on the same technology that computer networks work on. Just like a computer network where you can have multiple computers on the same network all sharing files or an Internet connection you can also have multiple "streaming music players" on your home network too. And just like a single "streaming music player", each "streaming music player" on the network can be connected to the network by either wires (Ethernet) or wirelessly (Wi-Fi).

When you have multiple "streaming music players" on your home network you can listen to whatever music you like in your collection at any time. You can be listening to an album in the living room and the kids can be listening to their own music in their bedrooms. You could be in the kitchen preparing food and listening to an Internet radio station.

All of the "streaming audio players" around your home can work independently of each other but they can also work together. You can synchronise all of the "streaming audio players" on your home network together so you have the same music playing through out your home - fantastic for parties!

How do I control all of these players?
Some of our "streaming audio players" come with standard remote controls and you can see what is happening on the display on the "streaming audio player".

Wouldn’t it be great though if you could control all of the "streaming audio players" on your network with a single controller that would allow you to select what you listened to and where? Well you can with our multi-room system. You can even plug in a set of headphones in to the controller and turn it in to your own personal music player.
